16 x 20 x 4 Inch Recessed Shower Niche – Waterproof, Tileable, Black
Upgrade your bathroom with this premium recessed shower niche — a sleek, built-in storage solution for shampoo, soap, conditioner, and shower essentials. Fully sealed and waterproof, it installs directly into the wall without the need for a separate waterproofing membrane. The movable divider shelf lets you customize the layout to fit bottles of any size.
Key Features
- Triple-Layer Waterproof Construction: XPS foam board core + cement mortar + waterproof coating — 100% sealed to protect your walls from moisture, humidity, and water penetration.
- HCFC-Free XPS Foam Board: Lightweight, durable, decomposition-resistant, and decay-proof. Easy to handle and position during installation.
- Fiberglass Mesh Reinforced Surface: Double layer of cement mortar with fiberglass mesh provides superior rigidity and load-bearing capacity — supports up to 62 kg/m².
- Compatible with Any Tile Adhesive: The textured surface bonds securely with all standard tile adhesives for a professional, seamless finish.
- Movable Divider Shelf: Adjustable internal shelf lets you organize items of different heights — from tall shampoo bottles to small soap bars.
- Square Corners & Modern Design: Clean lines and a matte black finish complement contemporary and minimalist bathroom styles.
- Horizontal or Vertical Installation: Includes an accessory kit and fits both orientations to suit your wall layout.
Installation Steps
- Step 1: Determine the required height and draw a horizontal line on the base layer.
- Step 2: Cut along the line and remove the top base layer.
- Step 3: Use waterproof sealant to attach the niche to the studs and seal all joints.
- Step 4: Apply mortar and affix your chosen tiles.
Note: This niche must be used in conjunction with waterproofing materials — it is not a standalone waterproofing solution.
